Adding custom widgets

To edit the single programs footer content we:

  1. Navigate to the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. On the left menu, navigate to Appearance > Widgets. This will load a new screen. On the right area you will see two columns: Custom Sidebars and Theme Sidebars.
  3. Expand the Programs section.
  4. Expand the first Custom HTML block.
  5. Make edits to the HTML code.
  6. Save.

To add custom widget areas we do:

  1. Navigate to the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. On the left menu, navigate to Appearance > Widgets. This will load a new screen. On the right area you will see two columns: Custom Sidebars and Theme Sidebars.
  3. Create a new sidebar. 
  4. Add a Name and Description.
  5. Select a Sidebar Location (the available locations are header, footer, left menu, right menu, and intro for selected categories or post types)
